VA Clinical Research Networking

PAVIR invites all interested Principal Investigators and Study Coordinators to  join us for

the first Clinical Research Networking Break on Wednesday, November 4th from 2:30-3:30pm in the Surgical Conference Room (Building 101, Room B3-136). This is a terrific opportunity to network with fellow Study Coordinators and Clinical Trials professionals and explore research solutions that matter to you while helping to build your clinical research community.  We will introduce plans to create a web-based resource to increase access to important information and each other.  Please forward this information on to any colleagues who may be interested.  RSVP by Wednesday, October 28, 2015, via email to Maria Gordienko, at PAVIR: mgordienko@pavir.org. Light complimentary refreshments and great company included!  We hope to see you there.

Take Advantage of PAVIR’s 401(k) Match! PAVIR matches up to 6% of eligible employees’ 401(k) deferral.  If you are eligible, you should take full advantage of this benefit by contributing at least 6% of your paycheck into your 401(k) account.  Eligible employees can change their deferral online at The Standard or contact HR to complete a paper form.

Electronic Timecards are Rolling Out!
PAVIR HR is rolling out electronic timecards!  Our first group of labs have been trained to start using electronic timecards effective 10/1.  The second group of labs will start 11/1 and the final group of labs will start 12/1, with full implementation by 1/1/16.  Please be on the lookout for invitations for training and information on how to access your electronic timecard on ADP WorkforceNow.

Will a Government Shutdown Impact PAVIR?
On September 30th, 2015, Congress approved the stopgap spending bill to keep the federal government open until December. We are aware of the possible concerns and we will inform all employees as we obtain updates accordingly.

Voluntary Employee Survey
Because PAVIR is a federal contractor, we must provide equal opportunity to qualified people with disabilities through outreach and fair hiring practices. Please follow this link to the Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability survey form for all employees to complete.  The completion of this form is voluntary, but we hope you will choose to fill it out. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we are required to ask all of our employees to update their information every five years.  Any information you provide will be kept confidential and separate from your personnel file.  Please send your completed forms in an envelope or email marked *Confidential* to HR at mail code 151P or
hr@pavir.org.
