Upcoming Holidays

PAVIR follows the Federal Holiday schedule, so please mark your calendars with the following upcoming holidays. Please request any additional time off with your supervisor and / or timecard approver:

•             Monday, 2/15/16 – Presidents’ Day

Eligible employees will only receive holiday pay if they are scheduled to work on the day the holiday falls. Please note, the PAVIR Administrative office will be closed on these dates.


 
Introducing Liz Martinez,
PAVIR's Director of Human Resources

PAVIR is pleased to announce the hiring of Director of Human Resources, Liz Martinez.  For more than 20 years, Ms. Martinez has worked in a broad range of industries in the Silicon Valley including non-profit, for-profit and startup companies, optimizing workforce performance through organizational change and proactive business leadership. She has lead innovative Human Resources initiatives impacting fiscal sustainability and guiding domestic and international organizations through accelerated growth and global market expansion.

Payroll News

Payroll Transition
The Payroll department  is transitioning away from the HR department and into the Finance / Accounting department. Please continue to contact payroll@pavir.org for any and all timecard, W-2 and paycheck related questions and concerns.

Form W-2 Is Available
Employee Form W-2s have been mailed to your address on file and are also accessible electronically on ADP WorkforceNow > Myself > Pay > Annual Statements. Please contact payroll@pavir.org if you have any questions.

Has your address changed?
It is important to update your employee mailing address in ADP WorkforceNow to ensure that that  all correspondences and year-end tax forms are sent to your correct home address.  Please log on to ADP Workforce Now , go to Myself > Personal Information > Personal Profile.  In the “Addresses” section on the far right you’ll see a pencil graphic, click on the graphic to find the edit window, update your address and click on "Done".  If you have any questions, please send an email to Payroll@pavir.org
Wear Your ID Proudly

Remember all PAVIR employees are required to wear VA Identification badge/PIV card with their photo, name, and title at all times while on health care system premises.  ID badge/PIV cards must be appropriately displayed (worn above the waist for easy visibility) with the photo facing out. 

PAD Employee Fitness Room To Be Relocated

Due to renovations, the Office of Facility Planning will be relocating the Employee Fitness Room in Palo Alto to the third floor of Building 5. This relocation will occur near the end of February and closure dates will be shared in the VA’s Weekly Compass.

Employee Yoga!

VAPAHCS is once again offering Yoga to all employees, including PAVIR employees.  The upcoming sessions will be held each Monday in March from 4:45 to 6:00pm in Building 105, Room 110A/B.

All levels and ages are welcome.

Those at sites other than Palo Alto may arrange to participate via V-Tel by making prior arrangements with Katie Holloway.  She can be reached at Kathryn.Holloway2@va.gov or extension 69957.
